At Titan Shutters, we’re proud to be a trusted name across Melbourne’s public facilities and council buildings. Our latest project at the J.D. Ryan Pavilion in Hays Paddock is a great example of the quality and reliability we bring to installations on high-risk or heavily used spaces. The Boroondara City Council needed a solution to replace their old shutters, which had reached the end of their life after being repeatedly damaged from closing on open windows and doors.
For this installation, we fitted 10 of our commercial-grade AluShield roller shutters in Monument, designed for maximum security on public spaces. Safety was a key focus here, so we included obstacle detection motors and safety devices to prevent the shutters from being damaged by user error—ensuring smooth, safe operation for years to come.
What makes this project unique is the custom design we implemented. We built the shutters into the eaves and created concealed access hatches for future maintenance, giving the pavilion a clean, seamless look. The pelmets are fully integrated into the eave structure, as you can see in the photos, making the installation both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
This project highlights how Titan Shutters is trusted to deliver durable, safe, and tailored solutions for public spaces across Melbourne.
